I grew up in Pennsylvania where I attended Marywood Seminary in Scranton, PA. In 1967 I was fortunate to be selected as Rotary Exchange Student to Brazil. After my year in Brazil, I attended Murray State University in Murray, KY. I received a BA degree and graduated with honors. I was a high school teacher at Calloway County High School in Murray, KY and then moved to Tampa, Fl where I worked as Circulation Marketing Manager and Newspaper in Education Manager for the Tampa Tribune Newspaper and then at Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry in Marketing/Promotions Director. I moved to NC and have lived in Union County for over 20 years. I retired from the YMCA in 2014 where I held positions as Associate Branch Executive and Financial Development Director.
We will have to address food insecurity as an issue, especially as the Pandemic has been hard on families.
